Ed Paget is an Osteopathic Therapist, writer, and presenter.
After 11 years dedicated to working with amazing clients and guiding them to achieve remarkable success, his mission remains the same; he wants to help you find the root cause of your pain and work together on a sensible, rational strategy to get you back to who you want to be. During assessments and treatments Ed is looking for quality of movement in your body, which can be as large as how you move your arms over your head or as small as the rise and fall of your chest during breathing. He believes that to move is to be healthy but understands that movement will manifest in different ways in different people. He wants to help people be the best they can be given their unique lifestyle and experiences. In order to do this he blends osteopathic therapy with functional movements, MoVnat, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Somatic Exercise. In return he likes patients to
commit to their treatments and finds that 4-6 treatments on a weekly
to 2 weekly basis is a good start for most people.
Ed also has a special interest in treating scoliosis with functional movement, here is a video of this approach.
This unique approach hasn’t gone unnoticed and Ed has worked with the Canadian National Speed Skating team for 2 years culminating in him being invited to the Sochi Olympics as part of team Canada’s medical contingent. He is currently a consultant to the Calgary Sport Institute and has been asked to share his Fascia stretching protocol or F.A.S.T class with both the National Alpine ski team and Biathlon team.
He has two degrees, one in Exercise and Sports Science from Exeter University, UK, and the other in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy, London UK.
In Addition Ed holds the following qualifications:
- Applied Functional Science through the Gray Institute.
- A Diploma in Biodynamic Cranio Sacral Therapy.
- Somatic Exercise Coach Level 1
- Mov Nat Certified Trainer
