Courtney completed her Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science in Osteopathy at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Courtney has worked in her university clinic for the past two years where she has built a solid foundation of her osteopathic knowledge getting to work with people from all walks of life to learn and treat their ailments. Through this experience she has found a keen interest in sports, paediatrics and obstetrics.
As well as her university clinic; Courtney has been privileged to work with an experienced Melbourne Osteopath over the last four years and through his mentoring, she has found her treatment confidence has grown and helped her develop into how she practices today.
Courtney further developed her skills and passion for osteopathy while working at an Australian rules football club in Melbourne, working closely with players and experienced physiotherapists. Courtney has been exposed to a number of sports related injuries which has made sports related osteopathic treatments one of her most confident areas of expertise. Her passion for healthcare stemmed from a life of sport. Starting from a young age, Courtney has been involved in athletics, netball and dancing as well as her enjoyment of helping and supporting others; a career in osteopathy seemed the perfect fit for her.
With all of her siblings working in the health sector, Courtney has always been drawn to the sciences throughout her studies. She has developed a keen interest in paediatric and obstetrics and looks forward to expanding her knowledge and expertise in this area over her career by learning from her mentors and attending seminars and workshops.
Courtney has previously participated in a three-week internship with Intrinsi and has moved to Calgary to experience all it has to offer. She is so excited to enhance her knowledge and experience at Intrinsi and can’t wait to get stuck in!
