Jo is an Australian trained Osteoapth who chose Osteo after observing a number of manual practitioners. She loves that Osteos are taught to really “think outside the box” because she finds they often see patients who have already been unsuccessfully treated by other modalities.
Throughout her Bachelor and Masters degree she gained extensive experience in sport injuries while working for a number of Australian Football Clubs. Her masters degree focused on Osteopathic treatment techniques to the hip and as a result, has developed a keen interest in lower back and hip pain.
Suffering chronic headaches as a teen and early adult, Jo has also developed an interest in the treatment and management of chronic pain and headaches. She often finds patients suffering chronic pain benefit from hands on treatment but more importantly, discovering and managing postural and environmental factors.
To help treat trickier injuries, Jo has also completed numerous postgraduate courses in dry needling therapy and sport and kinesiotaping.
Jo has just moved over from Melbourne where she grew up, except over the past year where she has been travelling Europe while based in the Netherlands. When Jo’s not at work you’ll find her escaping the city to some walks or hikes, or searching for the best coffee or wine!
