Jon Gabbai
Chief Operating Officer & Physiotherapist

Having originally trained as a physiotherapist in Manchester, England, Jon worked in Acute Neurology at North Middlesex Hospital in London; he also developed his skills in sports medicine and rehabilitation working for the youth academy at Manchester City Football Club. Jon then moved to Canada and spent several years working in Neurological Rehabilitation at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary.

He further moved into the field of education, spending four years as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta’s Calgary campus teaching the next generation of physiotherapists across Alberta. As well as being having practiced in both hospital and sports settings, and in the United Kingdom and Canada, Jon has achieved a Masters in Business Administration, a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Physiotherapy Practice, Intra-Muscular Stimulation (IMS) training, Running Injury Prevention, and Neurokinetic Therapy courses, the basic and full-certificate NDT/Bobath Neurological Rehabilitation course, and is a certified manipulative therapist.

Jon’s professional athletes have ranged from soccer players now representing club and country, as well as leading the injury prevention team for the Junior-Elite high-performance triathlon program in Calgary. Furthermore, Jon has consulted for professional cycling team Bora/Argon 18 during their Tour of Alberta campaign. Jon’s holistic approach comes from a substantial understanding and passion for the clients he supports; he trains regularly and is a member of the Talisman Triathlon Club in Calgary, participates in triathlons, has run a marathon, and enjoys team sports such as soccer.

As a dad of four young boys Jon spends most of his time outside of work with family, trying to stop his kids from getting into too much trouble and staying active by practicing what he preaches with endurance sports.
